The international think tank of emergency management for the “Belt and Road” was established in Beijing.

On October 12th, the founding conference of the "Belt and Road" International Think Tank for Emergency Management was held in Beijing. Huang Jinsheng, member of the Party Committee of the Emergency Management Department, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the State Mine Safety Supervision Bureau, attended the conference and delivered a speech.

Huang Jinsheng stated that preventing and mitigating major disaster risks, strengthening public safety governance, and promoting the improvement of emergency management capabilities are common challenges faced by countries along the "Belt and Road". The Emergency Management Department has established the "Belt and Road" International Think Tank for Emergency Management to gather experts in disaster prevention, reduction, relief, production safety, and emergency rescue to form a strong and interdisciplinary think tank team for research, production, learning, and application. This will promote the efficient operation of the international cooperation mechanism for natural disaster prevention and emergency management along the "Belt and Road". The think tank is expected to continuously introduce technology and talent, gather intelligence and strength, focus on major theoretical needs and specific practical issues in the development of emergency management in countries along the "Belt and Road", conduct in-depth research on forward-looking and strategic issues, absorb and learn from advanced international emergency management experience, and share "Chinese achievements", "Chinese experience", and "Chinese solutions" in disaster prevention, reduction, relief, production safety, and emergency rescue with the international community.
